You have located a very unusual combination of "arts and crafts" rarely found in the United States: handmade, originally designed jewelry coupled with handmade, originally designed gemstones (both colored gems and diamonds).
Ed and Logan Cutshall are the designers for both our jewelry inventory as well as commissioned work performed throughout the year. Claire Cutshall adds the gem faceting dimension by cutting most of our colored gems; many using our patented gem designs.
Carolyn Christensen has joined Hunt Country Jewelers, working in the showroom, and leading initiatives like our recent repainting project.
In all, we bring over 50 years of experience to Hunt Country Jewelers. Our attention to beauty and quality, we believe, is unparalleled in today's market - both are visible in our products and pictures.
Quaint Location, Timeless Beauty
Hunt Country Jewelers, Inc. was started in 1977 in Fairfax, Virginia and is now located in Hillsboro, Virginia, a picturesque village approx. one hour west of Washington D.C. We chose our tiny village because we opted to limit our production of jewelry to what we can manufacture personally, rather than mass produce and merchandise like so many other "designers".
Our styles range from highly detailed, natural and filigree looks to bold, contemporary and tailored designs. Focusing on unusual colored gemstones and diamonds, one can see the commitment to esthetics and quality rarely found in the jewelry market today. If you seek lightweight, flimsy jewelry, you are probably at the wrong site. Otherwise, you'll be pleasantly surprised by the comfortable heft of our jewelry (a few extra grams of gold/platinum goes a long way toward longevity). And our pieces are so comfortable when worn that you will hardly notice the extra weight.

Our Family is Growing...
Ed and Claire would like to take this opportunity to announce the engagement of Logan Cutshall and Carolyn Christensen.
Logan popped the question on Christmas Eve - in front of the entire family, no less. Logan presented Carolyn with a beautiful color-changing sapphire and diamond ring that he designed and made. The ring was more of an effort than most of Logan's work - he had to make it during their busy season, without Carolyn finding out!

Our New Gemstone Design
Hunt Country Jewelers would like to take this opportunity to introduce our new square gemstone design (shown left). The new square cut is a much closer version of a brilliant cut, put on a square than any other cut currently on the market.
Most all of the fancy square pavilions that are not of the simplicity of the stepped Asscher cut are built on a cluster of chevrons.
Our cut combines triangle and diamond shapes in the pavilion, showing better clarity of brilliance; it's more balanced, if you will.
According to Logan: "Due to the combination of a round brilliant pavilion and step cut crown, we've found our square diamond to have increased fire and scintillation across the whole stone."
